Family Fun Nights

Family Fun Nights celebrate the unique talents of our students, special spirit of our school, sense of community that is Oso Grande and the importance of experiencing it all together with family.  We host picnics, movie nights, daddy/daughter, mother/son, talent shows and much more!

Assemblies

Our PTA provides inspirational assemblies for our students.  This year we are hearing from Rachel’s Challenge (8/30/2018) and Beth Sussman (3/14/2019).  Both highly acclaimed programs aimed to enhance our children’s educational experience.

Field Trips

The PTA provides funding for off-campus field trips for all grade levels! This year, in keeping with our school theme “O-So Out of the World!”, every child at Oso will get to the chance to go to the Tessmann Planetarium in Santa Ana!  These field trips will happen over Jan 14 – Jan 30.  See the post for specific details.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people each October.  The program raises drug awareness by focusing on the positive and healthy choices kids can make, and encouraging them to pursue their passions.  This year it will take place Oct 22 – Oct 26th.

Fun Fridays

Keep an eye out on the PTA calendar for Oso Grande’s Fun Fridays! Led by wonderful parent volunteers, students will enjoy music, outdoor games, team building activities, lots of laughter, and friendly competitions during lunch recesses.

It is always a joy to observe and interact with the students during their recess time. Consider donating an hour of your time by helping to bring Fun Friday to life at Oso Grande.

Contact Chelsey Tona to become part of the Fun Friday “crew”… don’t let the FUN pass you by!

2019 Dates include: Feb 22, Mar 29, and May 24.

Health and Wellness

Our PTA values the importance of Health and Wellness. We believe it is essential to begin this at a young age. Healthy choices promote better learning, good food choices, and to develop a love for being active! We aim to incorporate health and fitness throughout the school year.

We encourage you to help your student(s) embrace health and wellness. Great activities have been planned to take place throughout the school year to encourage the whole family to have a dialogue about healthy living!
