Celebration Book Club
Celebration Book Club is a great program that "celebrates" a moment in your child's life ... a birthday, "half" birthday, graduation, special accomplishment (new swimmer, piano recital, becoming an older brother/sister) or a favorite holiday with a new book for our school library!
Since the school district no longer supplies books to the school library, we need to support programs such as the Celebration Book Club, and the book fairs in order for us to expand it.
You can purchase a book for the library from our booklist in your child's name. Mrs. Martin, our principal, present the book at the morning Flag Ceremony on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. We will photograph your child and his/her picture will be displayed in the library. A template will be placed in the front of the book you've chosen from our extensive booklist, stating that the book was donated to the library by your child and the reason for the celebration.
The children enjoy being recognized for their particular accomplishment and are able to read and enjoy the book. And when their friends and classmates check out this book in the future, they will know that your child has taken part in expanding the school library.
To participate in this program, you may fill out the Interest Form and I will contact you one month or so before the event, sending you the Order Form and Current Book List. This is perfect for birthdays and holidays that are at set times and I act as your "reminder" service. Your payment can be sent to school in an envelope marked "Celebration Book Club" with your child to give to their teacher, or you can leave it in the front office.
You may skip the Interest Form and go directly to the Order Form when special events occur throughout the year for which you'd like to immediately acknowledge your child, or perhaps a special teacher or staff member. The cost for each book is $20.
